Kasama si boss sa isang pagpupulong ng mga na ex-com ng ahensiya nung a-10. Lunes yun. Bago pa man dumating ang tanghali ng huwebes, maraming taga-ahensiya ang nakatanggap ng mga text message tulad nito:
"Is it true that (ang ahensiya) released yesterday the list of people to be retrenched? What happened?"
"True ba that 25% of (ang ahensiya) workforce will be laid off?"
Ang iba naman ay tinawagan sa celphone at tinatanong tungkol sa nasabing chismis. Ang mga taga-ahensiya ay hindi masagot ang mga tanong dahil wala naman silang alam dun. Ang alam lang nila ay nagtawag ng general assembly ng 4:30 ng hapon na iyon ang presidente.
Nang imbestigahan ang pinanggalingan ng chismis, ang kinalabasan ay naibalita raw ito sa isang may-ari ng ahensiya na itago natin sa pangalang Dolce & Gabana (siguro naman kilala ninyo kung sino ang kaisa-isang kaibigan ni boss sa buong bansa). At ang sabi daw ni Dolce ay si boss daw ang nagkwento sa kanya.
Sa madaling salita, inuna pa ni boss ibalita sa isang taga-industriya kaysa mga tao niya mismo. Kaya tuloy mas nauna pang nalaman ng mga taga-industrya na may mawawalan ng trabaho sa ahensiya kaysa mga tao niya mismo.
Ang tanong namin ay, tama bang ikwento ang balitang ganito (na dapat hindi pinaguusapan sa labas ng ex-com) sa ibang tao, lalo na't sa isang taga ibang ahensiya? Iyon ba ay likas na gawi ng isang tunay na pamuno?
Sa pananaw namin, Mali ka boss.

Nabalitaan namin na nagtawag na naman ng general assembly ang presidente ng alas-10 ng umaga bukas. May mga kakalat na naman kayang mga text message bago mag alas-10?

Bravo!

Dear All,
After 20 years with the company, I've concluded that the hardest thing for me to do is how to start. Whether working on a new project or in this case writing a goodbye letter, or is it a letter of goodbye ( anong mas tamaTina?) Well anyway I think the rule of thumb is "to make it simple."So please allow me to say a simple goodbye to two groups of people.
First to those who would stay on board. You may be a bit fewer in numbers Now, but this can be an opportunity to be more solid. To focus more on a common goal. May you come up with more big brand ideas, help each other to win more pitches and take good care of existing clients. I remember that Mr. Tony Wright wrote something like... The greatest accolade that an advertising agency can receive is when they earn the trust and respect of their clients and in return reward them with more of their brands.
To the second group who would be leaving the ship to make it a little lighter, I would say that it's but natural for us to focus on what was lost Rather than on what was gained. Because we only need our eyes to see what Was lost, but we need a heart filled with faith to see what was gained.But mind you, God can use our life's STOPS, to prepare us for the next START! And it's always better.
After last week's General Staff Meeting I've seen so many sad and worried faces and that includes me. It's so easy to see what retrenchment can do.But the next day after the smoke somewhat settled down God showed me what it cannot do. When I saw friends saying goodbye and hugging each other, I said to myself...Retrenchment you are sooo LIMITED! You cannot kill FRIENDSHIP.You cannot shut out HAPPY MEMORIES and most all, you cannot cripple LOVE!
I LOVE YOU ALL!

I believe that one of reason's God placed me in this agency is to share with you His gift of salvation. The reason why Jesus was born one night in a stable. This Christmas may everyone receive this Gift of Eternal Life.
If you want to receive His Gift, pray this simple prayer with all your heart:
Dear Jesus please forgive me of my sins.
I Believe that you died on the cross and rose again
To save me and bring me back to your kingdom.
Please save me Lord. I want you to be my Savior.
Please let your Holy Spirit dwell in my heart
That I may do your perfect will in my life.
